2015 Barely Legal Showtune Extravaganza set for AUGUST 17th at (le) Poisson Rouge

barely-legal-no-details It’s time for our annual summer blow-out concert featuring some of the most talented musical theatre performers from around the country and world.

Since our first “Barely Legal” concert five years ago, alums like Ashley Park, Danielle Wade, Lora Lee Gayer, Kathryn Boswell, Blair Goldberg, Tyler McKenzie, and many more have performed and starred on Broadway, toured the country, starred on TV, and made incredible art around the country and world.

A panel of industry judges, including Broadway performers, casting directors, agents, producers, and more have selected an incredible group of young performers, many of whom will be making their New York debuts in this concert! This year’s concert features:

It’s the culmination of several years of work with our band and our amazing singer friends, including Jeremy Jordan, Tituss Burgess, Natalie Weiss, Jackie Burns, Eric Michael Krop, Brian Justin Crum, Emma Hunton, and many more.

The album will be available on iTunes, Amazon, CDBaby, etc. starting June 15th, but you can also get it in-person at our $1 album release show at (le) Poisson Rouge!

Sam wins the 2015 Kleban Prize!

We’re thrilled to announce that Sam Carner has won the 2015 Kleban Prize for Most Promising Librettist!

In the 25-year history of the award, past winners have included Jason Robert Brown, Craig Carnelia, Robert Lopez and Jeff Marks, John Weidman, Adam Gwon, John Bucchino, and other distinguished writers.

Congratulations as well to Sam Willmott, the winner of this year’s Kleban prize for Most Promising Lyricist.
